Studio Guidelines

  • We have a firm no latecomers policy. You may not be admitted into the class once it has started.

  • All members are advised to arrive 15 minutes early to check in before class.

  • Please wear socks, or socks with grips for all classes. Clients without socks will not be admitted into class.

  • Clean all machines down with the provided disinfectant after class.

  • Our premises are under CCTV surveillance, covering our reception, locker room and group studio areas.

Getting Started

  • If it’s your first-time trying out Reformer Pilates, we recommend our BASIC I or BASIC II Group Class. In a small class of 9 at Tanjong Pagar and 10 at Orchard, you’ll learn how to use the Reformer and gain an understanding of the foundations of Pilates to achieve an effective workout.

If you prefer undivided attention or have a specific physical issue you’d like to work on, try our Private classes. Private classes are available at our Orchard, Tanjong Pagar and Duxton Hill studios.

Pregnant clients are not allowed in group classes. We recommend attending our private classes for pre and postnatal care.

  • Comfortable and form-fitting clothes are encouraged so that our instructors are able to see your body alignment. Grip socks or regular socks must be worn for hygiene purposes. You will be denied entry if no socks are worn.

  • Book a class via our website before coming down. Arrive at our studio 15 to 20 minutes before your first class to get changed and ready for class. Inform your instructor if you have any injuries or physical conditions that the instructor should know of.

  • Minimum age for group classes is 18 years old. For clients younger than 18 and clients 60 years and above, we advise going for our Private classes.

  • Please view the relevant group or private class sections below for more details.

Group Classes

  • Via our website:

    1. Click “Schedule” from the website navigation menu.

    2. Filter via studio location or class type. Then, select the class you’d like to attend.

    3. Select your preferred Reformer (Orange indicates available). You will then be led to sign up for an account and to purchase a package.

    4. After purchase, your spot will then be confirmed. Check your email inbox for a confirmation email from ‘noreply@offdutypilates.com’.

    Book via ODP App:

    • Click on Reserve and select a location.

    • Select desired class in schedule. Follow the above instructions.

  • If you’ve never done Reformer Pilates before, we recommend going for the BASIC I or BASIC II group class. You will need to attend 3 to 5 BASIC classes in order to attend our other Level 1 group classes.

Our class descriptions indicate the difficulty, cardio and sweat level for each group class to help you make the best choice for your needs. If you require more assistance, drop us a message using our Facebook chat bot (bottom left of webpage) or email us here.

If you have injuries, are pregnant, are concerned about keeping up in a group class or would simply like dedicated attention, we recommend taking a Private or Duet class with us. Drop us a note to find out more.

  • For higher level classes (Level 1 and above), we recommend that your prior attendance is consistent and recent. The required classes should have taken place consistently over the last 3 to 6 months in order to qualify.

Instructors may provide recommendations as to which class level is suitable for you. We also recommend that you check directly with an instructor if you are ready to progress to the next level.

As a guide, these are the prerequisites for each Group Reformer class:

    Basic I: No prerequisites required
Basic II: At least 1 or 2 Basic I classes
Level 1: 3 to 5 Basic I or Basic II classes
    Level 2: 5 to 10 Level 1 classes

  • Our booking window opens on a rolling basis at 12pm everyday for classes two weeks in advance. For instance, if you’re looking to book for classes on 1 Feb, they will be open at 12pm on 19 Jan.

  • Please refer to the “Cancellations / Late Policy for Group Classes” section below.

  • If you would like to book into a class that is full, you may join the waitlist.

Up to 12 hours before start of class:

If you are on the waitlist, you will automatically be booked into the class if a spot opens up. An email confirmation will be sent via ‘noreply@offdutypilates.com’

If you’re no longer able to attend the class you have waitlisted for, please remove yourself from the waitlist. If not, your class credit will not be returned to you should you get booked in.

Less than 12 hours before start of class:

If a spot opens up within this period, the class will reopen for booking. We will contact the waitlist to find out if you’d like to attend the class. Please visit our schedule to book a spot.

  • For group classes, you will not be permitted to enter more than 5 minutes after class starts and a class credit will be deducted. This is for your safety as the first 5 minutes are usually spent with either an important introduction to the session or with a warm-up.

  • Pregnant clients are not allowed to attend Group classes. This is for your safety and to ensure that the exercises do not harm you in the process. Please consider Private classes instead where we will work with you to create a program tailored to your needs.

  • No sharing of packages is allowed. At Off Duty, we encourage each member to have their own package. This ensures that you are dedicated to attending a certain amount of classes within a period of time, so as to see consistent growth.

If you have booked multiple spots into a single class using the same account and package, your guests may be denied entry and the class credit will not be returned.

  • In the event where a class is cancelled by the studio due to various reasons such as low attendance or emergency situations, you will be notified up to 4 hours before the start of class via email. You will not be charged for the class.

  • Please note that themed classes are limited to one booking per client per edition. As our classes are small, we’d like to give each client an opportunity to attend a themed class at least once.

Private Classes

  • Visit our Private Class page to fill in the enquiry form located at the bottom of the page. We will then match you with an instructor based on your preferred days, times and physical conditions. Please do not purchase a Private class package before being matched to an instructor.

  • Private Duets are 2 clients to 1 instructor. Interested clients will need to have their own duet partner for this class. Visit our Private Class page to fill in the enquiry form.

  • Our private group classes require a minimum of 3 clients in a group. Visit our Private Class page to fill in the enquiry form.

  • If you fall under any of these categories, we encourage you to take private classes before possibly moving onto group classes:

    · Prenatal or Postnatal

    · Have a history of multiple orthopaedic surgeries

    · Have an issue with mobility

    · Have not exercised for a long time or ever before

    · Have existing or past injuries which still affect mobility

    · Mid to severe Scoliosis

If you’re unsure, it’s always good to email us to find out more! :)

  • To cancel your private class, please contact your instructor directly. Otherwise, please email us with 12 hours advance notice.

For private classes cancelled with less than 12 hours without a valid reason, you may be subject to the late cancellation policy and your credit will not be returned to you.

Cancellation / Late Policy

  • Classes are to be cancelled 12 hours prior to the start of class. For cancellations less than 12 hours before the start of class, a class credit will be deducted from your package. Only cancellations for group classes made via the Off Duty website will be accepted.

If you cancel a class outside of the cancellation window, a class credit will be deducted from your package.

Return of credits will require an MC or supporting documents showing that the cancellation or no show was unavoidable and unexpected. Reasons such as menstrual cramps and migraines will require an MC in order for class credits to be returned. If your clinic or health practitioner does not provide a medical certificate for your specific condition, please have them provide a doctor’s note. A health professional will need to have deemed you unfit to attend class. Documents must be submitted within one month of the missed class. Off Duty Pilates reserves the right to verify the medical certificate with the service provider.

Strict exceptions or special arrangements may be made for certain cases and are subject strictly to the management’s discretion. Evidence must be provided and is required via email (Instagram or Facebook not accepted). As we have an extremely limited number of spaces per class, we believe that our class cancellation window and policy is flexible enough to accommodate change in plans.

You will not be able to cancel 10 minutes prior to the start of class.

  • Log in here to “My Account” (link also found at the bottom of this page). From the menu located on the right, select “My Classes”. A list of classes you’ve booked into will appear. Select “Unreserve” for the class you’d like to cancel.

You may also cancel a class from our app by clicking on “My Classes”, and then select “Unreserve” for the class you’d like to cancel.

For Private class cancellations, please contact your private instructor directly. You may also email in to hello@offdutypilates.com. Notification via Instagram DMs or Facebook messages will not be accepted.

  • We do not have late cancellation or no show fees at the moment. As such, we urge you to cancel out of classes way in advance so as to give others a chance.

  • Please refrain from booking two classes in a single day (whether at the same or two different studios) for any reason except with the intention to attend all the classes you’re booking in for.

No return of credits for late cancellations or no shows will be provided in the aforementioned situation.

  • For group classes, you will not be permitted to enter more than 5 minutes after class starts and a class credit will be deducted. This is for your safety as the first 5 minutes are usually spent with either an important introduction to the session or with a warm-up.

  • In the event where a class is cancelled by the studio due to various reasons such as low attendance or emergency situations, you will be notified up to 4 hours before the start of class via email. You will not be charged for the class.

  • Classes may be substituted by another instructor. No class credits will be returned if you choose to late cancel or no show for the class due to the change in instructor.

Class Packages

  • Our packages are valid for 1 to 7 months, depending on the type of package purchased.

The validity starts on the date of the first class booked. If you book your first class and cancel out of it, the start date of your package will still be the date of the first class booked.

All our class packages must be activated within one month, if not it will be expired.

  • Yes! You may use the same package to book into group classes at Tanjong Pagar or Orchard, Palais Renaissance.

  • If you are travelling (more than 7 days) or unfit for exercise for an extended period of time, we will require proof of travel or a doctor’s letter in order for you to be considered for an extension of your package. Your package may be extended for the length of time of which you were away or unfit for exercise. Short term medical certificates (up to 4 days) will not be considered.

Travel itineraries must be sent before the travel period.

For other reasons, we charge a $50 extension fee capped at an extension of 1 month regardless of the number of classes left in your package. You are only allowed one extension per package.

    ———

Promotion or discounted packages will strictly not be extended unless with valid reason.

    ———

No extensions will be provided for packages that have expired for 6 months or more. For example, if your package expired on 15 of January, we will not grant any extensions or issue refunds after 14 July of the same year.

If the package was purchased a year or more ago, no extensions will be provided regardless of whether it has been 6 months past the expiration date.

    ———

All extensions are subject to approval on a case-by-case basis and are strictly not applicable to any promotions, offers, limited time packages, or otherwise determined by ODP.

  • We do not offer refunds of packages except with a valid reason. Please contact us should you require a refund. Refunds will be entertained on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documents will be required for refunds to be processed. All refunds will be charged a processing fee of $2, which will be deducted from your balance before the refund.

No refunds will be provided for packages that have expired for 6 months or more. For example, if your package expired on 15 of January, we will not issue refunds after 14 July of the same year.

No refunds will be provided if your package was purchased more than a year ago, regardless of whether it has been 6 months past the package expiration date.

  • Stacking of promotions to purchase a single package is not allowed. A member is only allowed to hold a maximum of two different package types at one go. An example of two different package types would be: One 10-class group package and one 10-class private package.

Promotion or discounted packages will strictly not be extended unless with valid reason.

Rewards

  • We reward based on the number of classes attended! There are 4 different milestones to hit:

    50 Classes
    100 Classes
    250 Classes
    500 Classes

With each milestone hit, you’ll get a reward.

Please note that classes attended with ClassPass, trial class packages and community classes packages are not eligible towards the count. Starter packages will be counted in.

  • Our rewards program started on 1st June 2023. Classes attended since the start of Off Duty will be taken into account towards the milestone rewards. Once you hit the next upcoming milestone, you’ll get a reward!

  • No rewards will be awarded for milestones hit prior to 1 June 2023.

If you attend 50 or 100 classes from 1 June 2023 onwards, you will be eligible for the respective milestone awards.

If you have passed the 50 and 100 milestones prior to 1 June 2023, you will only be eligible for the upcoming milestones (250 and 500 classes).

  • We carefully curate and select the rewards for you, but if it’s not to your liking, we suggest passing the reward on to someone else. No changes will be made for any rewards awarded. Store credit is not transferable.

Studio Amenities

  • Lockers are provided at all our studios for you to keep your belongings safe and secure while you work out hard in class.

Our Tanjong Pagar studio comes equipped with restrooms and a changing room.

Our Palais Renaissance studio does not have shower facilities. A changing room is available, while restrooms are available on the same floor.

  • Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during or after class. We currently do not offer any refreshments in the studio.

  • We sell a range of grip socks in our studio as well as our own line of Off Duty athletic wear, including tops and tights.

Covid-19 Guidelines

  • If you have tested positive for Covid-19, regardless of whether you feel well or not:

    • Please refrain from attending class.

    • Email your positive ART test results or your MC to hello@offdutypilates.com.

    • Please ensure that your ART test result is dated and shown with any type of ID within the same picture. All sensitive information should be blocked out.

    • By default, your package will be frozen for 2 weeks. If you test negative and would like to return to class earlier, please email us.

  • • Please monitor your health and refrain from attending class if you’re feeling fatigued, have a sore throat or any flu-like symptoms.

    • We would advise erring on the side of caution and refrain from attending class for 5 to 8 days from first contact. Please email in to hello@offdutypilates.com and we will freeze your package for 8 days.

    • If you are feeling well and would still like to attend class, please wear a mask throughout the group or private class to help limit any possible spread.

  • If you are feeling unwell with Covid-19 / flu-like symptoms and need to late cancel:

    • As per our usual studio policy, we will require an MC stating that you were unfit to exercise for the day.

    • Please email your MC to hello@offdutypilates.com.

    • If you have flu-like symptoms and will not be seeing a doctor, we will proceed to freeze your package for 10 days to err on the side of caution.

    • All requests for a return of class credit will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We gently urge clients to only appeal for the return of their class credit if their symptoms are similar to that of Covid-19.

    • As per our usual studio policy, we will require an MC stating that you were unfit to exercise for the day.

  • • Please note that all clients should avoid working out for up to 2 weeks from the date of their vaccination or booster shot. This is in line with the government’s directive.

After 1st and 2nd dose: refrain for 1 week

After 3rd or any subsequent dose (booster): refrain for 2 weeks

    • As vaccinations are done on an appointment basis, please plan ahead and cancel out of classes or refrain from booking into class for 1 to 2 weeks from the date of your vaccination.

    • To freeze your package during this period, please email us at hello@offdutypilates.com with your vaccination booking / cert.

Please note that we will not return any class credits due to side effects if you had gotten your vaccination shot 1 to 2 weeks prior.
