Abigail L.

Instructor

How did you get into Pilates?
I booked my very first Pilates class as a birthday treat for myself years ago, and it turned out to be a gift that kept giving. Still, it took a few years before I got serious about it. The turning point came during a working holiday in New Zealand where I finally had time and space away from corporate life. That's when I decided to commit to regular classes and eventually joined an instructor training program.

What do you love about it?
I love that Pilates empowers everyone individually. It's incredibly accessible for all ages where you can start at any point in life and excel at your own version. You're never too late when it comes to building that mind-body connection in a safe and confident way.

Why did you become an instructor?
From my first Pilates class, I knew I wanted to dive deeper. I was inspired by the community of like-minded people all sharing the intention to help others thrive. There's something magical about truly understanding your body and knowing you are in control. I became an instructor to guide others in discovering that magic and unlocking their own potential.

What do you want clients to leave your class feeling?
By mixing technical precision with genuine care, I make sure each client feels supported, seen, and appropriately challenged. It’s more than just exercise, where you learn to feel good in your body and take that confidence beyond the studio.

I want them to leave feeling more connected to their body, grounded, and quietly proud for showing up, especially on the days it felt tough. A little more confident, and a little more at ease

Do you prefer fitness or technical classes?
I enjoy both, but I naturally lean toward technical classes. I love breaking down the mechanics of movement, refining alignment, and helping clients build a strong foundation. The idea is to blend both so clients get a good workout without compromising form.
