How did you get into Pilates?
I had been inactive and inconsistent with my fitness in my early-20s, but wanted to make a change. I started going to different studios and that was when I first chanced upon Reformer Pilates. I had so much fun in class that I started attending classes 2 - 3 times a week, and it completely changed the way I approached fitness.

What do you love about Pilates?
I love that it encourages body awareness while incorporating muscle control with each movement. I love that Pilates is low impact, you don’t always feel tired and sweaty at the end of a session, yet you know you’ve managed to get a great workout in.

What makes your class unique and sweaty?
I like to keep my exercises simple, but use variations and props to make it more challenging for different types of clients. My music playlist is always upbeat to keep students feeling engaged and energetic throughout class.

What do you want clients to leave your class feeling?
I want my clients leaving class feeling stronger and taller, just like how I always feel after every Pilates class.

Do you prefer fitness or technical classes?
I like a combination of both. I find that sharing a little bit of technical information with clients helps them understand the how and why behind the exercise that they are doing, and encourages them to do their exercises with good form. At the same time, I also like to really push and challenge my clients as it helps them build confidence in themselves and their physical abilities.

Favourite post or pre workout ritual?
My guilty pleasure is getting bubble tea after a tough workout!
