What do you love about Pilates?
After falling in love with Pilates, I realised it was not just about stretching (a common misconception) - it was so much more! I love the yummy ache in the muscles I never knew I had, and I loved that it forced me to confront and manage the imbalances in my body. I love that Pilates challenges everyone differently, and depending on a client's needs, it can range from a more passive workout to a sweat-filled session! There is also something weirdly satisfying seeing long, lithe, strong women killing a Pilates class alongside their more muscular male counterparts.

Why did you become an instructor?
To me, life is about consistent growth and learning. I embarked on the journey to become an instructor to learn more about Pilates in a more technical manner. In that process, I found that Pilates learning and instructing go hand-in-hand. It is through teaching and interacting with clients that I will continue to grow in knowledge and be able to give more and help different clients.

What makes your class unique and sweaty?
My classes will have a good mix of higher intensity and low intensity movements, and I'll be sure to work every part of your body each class! Slow and controlled movements, reps, pulses and hold, hold hold - times a few sets!

What do you want clients to leave your class feeling?
I hope clients will leave my class feeling energized, and itching to come back for another class!

Do you prefer fitness or technical classes?
I prefer fitness-focused classes, but what's Pilates without technique? It is primarily through proper technique that you will reap the full benefits of the movements.

Favourite workout other than Pilates?
Without a doubt, my other fitness love is F45! I also love spinning!

Favourite recipe to cook?
Any one-pot meal. In my family, a good sausage pasta bake is tops and gets everyone super full and satisfied! If I had more time on my hands (and someone to wash my post-baking mess), chiffon cakes!

Describe you and your teaching style in five words.
Patient, calm, varied, strong, fun
