What is your approach to teaching Pilates?
I believe that Pilates should complement any training. Pilates is a system that sharpens the mind and strengthens the body.  My approach to teaching Pilates is providing a safe environment for everyone to explore movement freely and gain a deeper understanding of their own bodies through practice. My goal is to help people be able to move their bodies pain-free and enjoy the freedom of movement.

What do you focus on most in your classes?
I like to focus on form. By highlighting the “how” in movement, I help clients make sense of how their body move and from there challenge themselves to become stronger. At the same time, we don’t take ourselves too seriously - it’s important to also have fun while working out!

What can clients expect from your class?
Every class is thoughtfully planned and catered to each individual and class type. Expect a flow of exercises that build up into a full body workout! Beyond the burn, expect to sharpen your focus and learn to tune in to your body - every class we find familiarity and build confidence in moving our bodies.

What do you want clients to leave your class feeling
I hope clients leave the class feeling strong, confident and walk out with a sense of accomplishment for showing up for themselves.

How would you describe your teaching style
Encouraging, energetic and clear with a chance of humour!

What’s something you often emphasise in class?
It’s important to take ownership of your own body during class! I often emphasise listening to the body and acknowledging when it’s time to take an advancement or a regression - there’s no pressure to perform for anyone but yourself.

Outside the studio, what keeps you feeling your best
Coffee, chocolate and of course, working out :)

Spending time with myself, my family and my dog allows me to recharge outside the studio.

Also, a good sleep routine is crucial to help me feel refreshed on a brand new day!

What’s a value or mindset you try to live by?
Even if you don’t feel like showing up, just show up anyway. Life will always get in the way - but even showing up with 50% in your tank is better than not showing up at all. If you have 50% today then that shall be your 100% for today. Be okay with not always having 100% or giving 100% - just remember to show up for yourself because you are the most important person in your life!
